The List

Ok here it is.  The list, but first let me explain the purpose.  So I was listening to the radio and the DJ inspired me to create a list of 4 things to do or accomplish but the time I turn 40 (Nov. 2019).  So in order to help keep myself on track, i decided to blog about accomplishing that list.  I wouldn't necessarily call myself a procrastinator, just a person who has too maybe things going on to remember what's next.  So this blog will serve two purposes: 1.) Allow you to follow my quest and hopefully inspire you to start one of your own and 2.) Keep me on track.

So here's how it will work.  I will post the list below and when one is accomplished, I will blog about the experience i had accomplishing my goal.  The list is very random stuff, some goofy, some serious, some easy, some difficult, some life changing, some just fun stuff, some can be done in matter of hours, some may take the entire 4 years, so it should be a good mix.  I must say there are a few things that I have already started and those are the long term ones so I will blog about them sometimes one than once along the way.  If you have any questions about things please feel free to comment, email, whatever and I will try to answer.  So her it is the LIST:

40 Things to do before I turn 40
List made 3/9/2014 (in no particular order)

• Publish one on my novels
• Be a full time paid college coach
• See the Grand Canyon
• Go to the top of Pike’s Peak
• Go deep sea fishing
• Learn to play drums and play regularly at church
• Be 100% out of debt (except House and Car)
• See the Northern Lights
• Go skydiving (indoor)
• Sing Karaoke with crazy friends
• Read the Bible straight through
•  Read a classic novel, completely
• Fulfill someone’s wish/dream
• Own a classic car (Truck)
• Have dinner with someone famous
• Win a teacher or coach of year award
• Win a state championship
• Find that one Bible verse that speaks so deeply to my heart that it becomes my life verse.
• Ride in a hot air balloon
• Play a full 18 holes of golf on a regular course and score less than 125 (never played except mini and par 3 course)
• Drive entire Historic Route 66 (doesn’t have to be all at one time)
• Take my sister on a trip anywhere she wants to go
• See a major horse race live
• Sit in a tv audience
• Ride in a NASCAR, drive is possible
• See Play on Broadway
• See Grand Ole Opry Show
• Decide if I like  Red or white wine better and learn wine appreciation (I have to try them both first)
• Attend a Fancy party and get all dressed up
• Build something substile, like furniture, from scratch
•  Go to top of Statue of Liberty
• Play Black Jack in Vegas
• Watch Casablanca
• Sleep out under the stars with only a sleeping bag
• Go to a drive in movie
• Ride in a helicopter
• Learn a new language
• Do Random acts of Kindness every day for a month
• Do the drive thru difference (pay for person behind me) once a month for at least 6 different times
• Be a pen pal for a Solider
